Carol A. Kappesser (McDonald) 73, returned to her heavenly father on January 8, 2018.She was born and raised in Louisville and was a 1963 graduate from Waggener High School and a member of AA for 24 years. She worked for Edward Jones Investments in Lyndon for 19 years and loved every minute of it and was blessed by many co-workers, friends and clients whom she loved and referred to them as her extended family.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 30 years, her husband, James M. Kappesser, her loving...

Carol A. Kappesser (McDonald) 73, returned to her heavenly father on January 8, 2018.She was born and raised in Louisville and was a 1963 graduate from Waggener High School and a member of AA for 24 years. She worked for Edward Jones Investments in Lyndon for 19 years and loved every minute of it and was blessed by many co-workers, friends and clients whom she loved and referred to them as her extended family.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 30 years, her husband, James M. Kappesser, her loving dad, Mason McDonald Jr., her loving mother, Mary McDonald. her nephews, Joshua and Jon McDonald and her "hero" brother, Robert F. McDonald.
Those left to cherish her memories is her loving sister, Juanita M. Brooks (Joe), her sister-in-law, Mary Anna McDonald, "Her" girls (nieces) and boys, Michelle A. Melton (Greg) and Jennifer L. Mercer (Bill). She loved her role as "Nanny Carol" to "her special grandchildren" Samantha L., Brianna M. and Ellie M. Melton and Anna G., Mason W., and Tate B. Mercer. Also survived by Dana L. McDonald, niece and several great nieces, great nephews, and a very special friend that was like a sister, Anita K. Murphy and friends, Stephanie and Doug Perry.
A funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 and after 9 a.m. the day of the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hosparus of Louisville.
