DAVID D. STEAD, 60, Passed away on Friday January 5, 2018 at Baptist East Louisville.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (née Sauter) of almost 28 years, their 2 sons, Wesley & Spencer, his father Art Stead, brother Lee Stead (Denise), sister Leola Sweeny, niece, nephews, & many family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Reba (Stivers) Stead.

He was a 1975 graduate of Durrett High School having never missed a day of school for 12 years. He received his Bachelors Degree in 1979 from Bellermine...

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (née Sauter) of almost 28 years, their 2 sons, Wesley & Spencer, his father Art Stead, brother Lee Stead (Denise), sister Leola Sweeny, niece, nephews, & many family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Reba (Stivers) Stead.

He was a 1975 graduate of Durrett High School having never missed a day of school for 12 years. He received his Bachelors Degree in 1979 from Bellermine College and played the trumpet in the Bellarmine Alumni Band.

In September of 1979 he began his 30 years of employment with Louisville Gas & Electric Company. He also worked for USF Healthcare & First Source Solutions.

He was a member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels and was a Bell Award recipient for his volunteer work with Kentucky Junior Achievement.

David had enjoyed many years playing on the LG&E Softball league & Bowling league. He enjoyed being a fan of Dr. Who, Star Trek, and Star Wars. He enjoyed taking Cruise Ship excursions. Disney World was his favorite place on earth!

His family would like to thank all of the kind & dedicated staff at Baptist Health Lagrange, Jewish Hospital & U of L Hospital.

Visitation is at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, located on 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218, on January 11th between 3pm - 8pm. Followed by Funeral Service on January 12th 10:00am.
