Redmon, Helena (Napier) 85, passed away in her home Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born to the late Calloway B. Napier and Emma C. Ousley on September 22, 1931 in Floyd County Kentucky. Helena was a graduate of Ahrens Trade High School, class of 1949. She went on to work as a secretary at Statistical Dept. Louisville and Jefferson County Board of Health, Louisville Planning and Zoning Commission and Kentucky Gasoline Dealers Association. She was a faithful member of Saint Therese Catholic Church and a member of the German-Paristown Neighborhood Association. She was preceded in death...

Redmon, Helena (Napier) 85, passed away in her home Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born to the late Calloway B. Napier and Emma C. Ousley on September 22, 1931 in Floyd County Kentucky. Helena was a graduate of Ahrens Trade High School, class of 1949. She went on to work as a secretary at Statistical Dept. Louisville and Jefferson County Board of Health, Louisville Planning and Zoning Commission and Kentucky Gasoline Dealers Association. She was a faithful member of Saint Therese Catholic Church and a member of the German-Paristown Neighborhood Association. She was preceded in death by her husband August E. Redmon, daughter Teresa Anne Redmon, siblings Lin Napier and Carlos Napier and stepmother Reba Phillips. Helena leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Darryl Redmon (Andrea), Lisa Montgomery (Joe), grandchildren Dana Brinkley (Brandon), Evan Redmon (Christine), Adam Redmon, Abby Wise (Drew) and Travis Montgomery (Emily) and great grandchildren Rylee Jo and Lucy Annabelle. She is also survived by her siblings Edward Napier, Canton Napier, Charlie Napier and Rex Phillips and many dear nieces and nephews. A service to honor the life of Helena will be held Monday at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Rd with burial to follow in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12noon-8pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the National Diabetes Association.
