Quentin Robert Echsner, 81, of Louisville passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
He served as an MP with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a tomb of the Unknown Soldier nominee. Quentin was a member of the American Legion Highland post, the Moose Lodge #5, was a devoted, founding member of the Ursuline Pitt Bar B-Q Fest and a former St. X Tiger booster. He loved spending time with his family and riding his scooter named Jocko

Quentin Robert Echsner, 81, of Louisville passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
He served as an MP with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a tomb of the Unknown Soldier nominee. Quentin is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years: Mary Marlene Bischoff Echsner, his siblings: Norbert "Doc" Echsner, Dorothy Curran and Patricia Beisler, and a niece: Karen Kemp.
He is survived by his children: Mark Echsner (Tina), Laura A. Echsner, Jill M. Bowman (Randy), and Donna R. Reynolds (Roy) siblings: Dr. Herman Echsner (Ginny), Thelma Sherman (Bill), Richard Echsner ("Boots") and Joan M. Echsner, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two on the way, and thirty-one nieces and nephews and fifty-three great nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial to celebrate Quentin's life will be conducted at 12 noon Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 S Shelby St, Louisville, KY 40202,. Guests will be invited to attend a visitation from 2-8pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven; 4400 Bardstown Rd. Interment will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff KY at a later date.
