Fisher, Thomas "Tom" 72 went home to his heavenly Father on March 12, 2017. He leaves his wife of nearly 50 years, Sharon (Schaefer); his children Dana Haag (Michael), Denise Burkett (Tim) and Bart Fisher (Maria); brothers Walter (Donna) and Larry (Kathy) Fisher; six grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Ashlyn, Justin, Lily and Noelle. He was preceded in death by his parents Walt and Helen Fisher and Sisters Kathy Adams and Bobbi Rausch.

Fisher, Thomas "Tom" 72 went home to his heavenly Father on March 12, 2017. He leaves his wife of nearly 50 years, Sharon (Schaefer); his children Dana Haag (Michael), Denise Burkett (Tim) and Bart Fisher (Maria); brothers Walter (Donna) and Larry (Kathy) Fisher; six grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Ashlyn, Justin, Lily and Noelle. After graduating from St. Xavier High School ('62), Tom proudly served in the US Navy from 1962-1965. Following the Navy, Tom worked while attending Bellarmine University to receive his degree of Bachelor of Science and Commerce ('81). Tom worked at Bellarmine University and retired after 25 years of service as the Assistant Vice President for Facilities Management.

In 2012 Tom was awarded The Reverend Msgr. Alfred F. Horrigan Distinguished Service Award, given to recognize an individual who, as a member of the university faculty, staff or administration, has made a significant contribution to Bellarmine University.

An avid golfer, he played with friends and family as often as possible and loved his special foursome called the F-TROOP (Flynn, Forest and Ford). He served on many building and facility committees for St. Gabriel Church and School, where his family attended church for 45 years. Tom regularly was a Eucharistic minister, lectured, and was a member of the original Folk Group singers for St. Gabriel.

Visitation will be held at Arch L Heady Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218 on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and on Thursday from 2-8 pm.
A funeral Mass for Tom will be held Friday at 10 am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 5505 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291 with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial gifts in Tom's name can be made to Bellarmine University or St. Xavier High School.
